I'm hoping by "milk" you mean half & half, since that's the only way to make an authentic White Russian. (And no, a real batchelor doesn't care how many fat calories h&h has over milk, or anything else health related when he consumes alcohol--unless he has another glass of red wine because "it's good for the heart".)
But I hear ya on the purpose of milk...the primary reason I buy it is so I have something to put into my coffee.
Point taken, however doesn't a true White Russian actually call for light cream? As a matter of personal taste, I like mine with milk though...
What’s up with the White Russian drink anyway? From what I have researched you’re both right on that milk / cream debate; it’s one or the other, but Scott just likes his half way. I’d say you’re both producing more estrogen than testosterone because you’re too passionate about a GIRLY DRINK. What happened to a good ‘ol Vodka Martini Straight Up, Jack on the Rocks or even a nice smooth Cognac XO? On second thought now that the two of you mentioned a White Russian; that actually sounds good! Also, bachelors don’t buy milk! They buy beer, whiskey, and TV dinners – you’re a little too Metro-sexual for Wyoming. Now, I’m going to go put on that pink dress and have my White Russian.

Yeah - You have to be drunk to watch that crap. I’m glad you have a different drink for each movie you watch. Just like Rum and Coke goes with Bachelor Party and I puked on the floor next to your toilet.
