Biennial Flight Review

Today, I spent 1.4 hours in a 1976 Cessna 172M riding with an instructor. We did steep turns, power on stalls, power off stalls, and spins. I had never spun an airplane before, it wasn't nearly as disturbing as I thought it would be. One interesting thing is that it was easier to recover from the spin than it was to get into the spin. Seven take-offs and landings later, we were getting out of the airplane, and I had demonstrated that I could still fly an airplane well after all of this time...

The last time that I had any time put into my log book was on November 2, 2002. That was a flight with my good buddy Sergei (who was an instructor at the time) in a new Cessna 182T.
