Upon roads we once built...

The other day, I had to go out and do my monthly water sampling in the oil fields. This month, I had to go to Hamilton Dome, which is down by Thermopolis, and pretty much out in B.F.E. On the way back, I was driving along the Highway south of Meeteetse, when it dawned on me. I was there the last time that this road was rebuilt! Eleven years ago! One of the cool things about being involved in engineering and construction in general, is that the things that you build are going to be there for a long time, and you can come back and check them out. Well, usually, that is, I can't imagine that I could go have free reign at Thunderspring (www.thunderspring.com) ever again, however I could go to Sun Valley and do a drive by.
