How did that happen?

In a few hours, it will be August 31st, 2006. The last day of August. Then September begins. How did the summer get behind me? It just seems like I was sitting in Coopersmith's in Fort Collins, having a beer with my girl, my best friend and his wife on the Forth of July...

As I sit here this evening, drinking my Maker's Mark (neat thank you), the thought of summer being nearly behind us has hit me. I have a niece who just started the 8th grade and is busting her butt (good for her) at volleyball practice every day after school... The tourism scene here in Cody has slowed way down... It's getting cooler at night...

Now don't get me wrong, I love fall, in fact it's my favorite season, but the passing of these last 3 months so rapidly has left me a little, well, shaken...

It'll be a good fall, I'll get to spend a little of it in Northwestern Colorado, see some old friends, and probably make some new ones. I'll drink to that. :)

Mmmm Beer!

I picked up a Growler of Trippel at New Belgium Brewing in Fort Collins, Colorado last weekend. I just finished it off. Need more!
